Monday to Wednesday: 7:30am – 11:00am / 2:45pm – 4:45pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 11:00am / 4:30pm – 9:15pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:45pm
Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

Bolton Talent Solutions is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join the Estates team at Bolton College. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the college premises are well-maintained, secure, and ready for daily operations. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, a practical approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in health, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general caretaking duties including cleaning, minor repairs, and routine maintenance
• Ensure classrooms, corridors, and communal areas are safe, tidy, and ready for use
• Support with room setups for classes, meetings, and college events
• Monitor and report maintenance issues promptly to the Estates team
• Assist with site security, safe access to buildings, and adherence to health & safety procedures

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or maintenance role is desirable
• Practical skills to carry out minor repairs and general upkeep
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider Estates team
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards across the site
